PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wide-angle rotatable hinge device which is prevented from having an extended diameter. SOLUTION: A sphere 6 and a protrusion 45 are formed on an opposed surface 44 of a movable member 4. The sphere 6 and the protrusion 45 are separated from each other by 180°on a predetermined circle with its center at a hinge shaft 3, and the protrusion 45 has a length longer than the diameter of the sphere 6. An opposed surface 23 of a second hinge member 2 has first engaging recesses 24A, 24B and second engaging recesses 25A, 25B formed therein. The first engaging recesses 24A, 24B are separated from each other by 270°on the predetermined circle, and the second engaging recesses 25A, 25B by 270°on the predetermined circle. The second engaging recesses 25A, 25B are separated from the first engaging recesses 24A, 24B by 180°, respectively. Further a guide groove extending from the first engaging recess 24A across the second engaging recesses 25A, 25B to the first engaging recess 24B is formed between the first recesses 24A, 24B, and the guide groove 26 has a depth not shallower than the depth of the second engaging recesses 25A, 25B.
