PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ball hitting device in a game machine capable of stabilizing the hitting strength and hitting direction of game balls. SOLUTION: The ball hitting device 1 is provided with a driving means 2 for generating hitting torque and a hitting arm 3 to be rotated by receiving the hitting torque by the driving means 2. The hitting arm 3 is provided with a rotary shaft part 33 and a ball receiving part 32 and is constituted so as to be turned back and forth between a hitting start position 301 for starting rotation in a normal rotating direction C1 for hitting the game ball 8 and a ball hitting position 302 for suddenly stopping the rotation in the normal rotating direction C1 and hitting the game ball 8 held in the ball receiving part 32 by the inertial force. The hitting arm 3 is constituted such that the ball receiving part 32 is positioned at an oblique lower part to the rotary shaft part 33 at both positions of the hitting start position 301 and the ball hitting position 302.
