PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a television receiver capable of obtaining a sound before applying switching operation to the sound. SOLUTION: The television receiver comprises: two tuners 11, 12; a display device 21 for simultaneously displaying two channel images tuned by the two tuners 11, 12; a sound data memory 23 for recording a sound signal; a speaker 25 for outputting a sound of one channel in the two channels; and a sound recording reproducing circuit 22 that records a sound signal of a channel from which no sound is output to the sound data memory 23, and reading the sound signal of a corresponding channel before a switching instruction recorded in the sound data memory 23 and outputs the sound signal to the speaker 25 when the switching instruction of the sound output exists.
