PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To change an examination angle while keeping an examination site in focus to carry out accurate in-vivo examination. SOLUTION: An in-vivo examination apparatus 1 is provided with a stage 2 on which a living organism A is mounted, a measurement head 4 that irradiates the living organism A on the stage 2 with light emitted from a light source 5 and has an objective lens 3 at the tip of the head to detect light returning from the living organism A and a rotation mechanism 9 that rotates the measurement head 4 along a horizontal axis line about a focus position F of the objective lens 3 as a center. The rotation mechanism 9 is provided with equal to or more than three operating shafts 25, 30 and 32 which can move the measurement head 4 in a plurality of directions and a controller 29 which links the operating shafts 25, 30 and 32.
