PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing system which can perform an authentication processing for mechanically specifying the writer of a document. SOLUTION: In a method for associating a specific document opened on the Internet with a document and the specific document with a sign, it passes a step for performing trackback to a specific Trackback URL when the writer of Weblog contributes an article, a step for receiving Trackback Ping, a step for reading a URL of an article data base file for managing an article at a transmitting origin from a resource existing in a URL of the article at the Trackback transmitting origin included in the Trackback Ping, a step for confirming whether or not contents of the article data base file coincide with information included in the Trackback Ping and a step for collating information obtained from a resource on the Internet with a preliminarily registered user data base and specifying a transmitting person of Trackback in the information registered in the user data base.
