PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a torque converter having good energy efficiency. SOLUTION: The torque converter comprises a pump impeller 20 having a plurality of blades and a pump shell 21 on which the blades are arranged, a turbine liner having a plurality of blades and a turbine shell on which the blades are arranged, and a stator held between the pump impeller and the turbine liner.
