PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game machine capable of eliminating fraudulent actions by the malfunction of a photosensor without lowering a token detection speed. SOLUTION: In the game machine, a token detector for detecting medals fed from a token feed port is provided, the token detector is provided with a light emitting part and a light receiving part for receiving light emitted from the light emitting part facing each other across a token flow-down path, and the fed token is detected by the interruption of an optical path between the light emitting part and the light receiving part by the token flowing down the token flow-down path. The light emitting part is provided with a light emitting element and a first polarizing plate for transmitting only the light with specified polarization among the light beams emitted from the light emitting element, the light receiving part is provided with a second polarizing plate for transmitting only the light of the specified polarization and a light receiving element for receiving the light transmitted through the second polarizing plate, and the polarizing plates are provided so that the polarization axis of the first polarizing plate and the polarization axis of the second polarizing plate are roughly the same.
