The codings (based e.g. on international classification of diseases, medical procedures and diagnosis-related groups) and the parameters are transmitted to a central data processing unit to be tested for plausibility and formatting. They are transferred into a data bank, grouped, and case fees are calculated. Each index is calculated and composed in accordance with instructions using the data bank then assessed. A report describing them and the assessments is produced, with results made available to the care provider : An independent claim is included for the corresponding system.
