PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display apparatus wherein peeling strength is enhanced by using a sealing adhesive having rubber elasticity as a sealing agent for sealing the part between two substrates. SOLUTION: In the image display apparatus provided with an image display plate 10 displaying an image by encapsulating one or more kinds of image display mediums 3 between substrates 1 and 2 to be two facing substrates at least one of which is transparent and transferring the image display mediums 3 by an electric field generated in the substrates, peel strength and bending strength of the substrates are enhanced by applying the sealing adhesive 12 having the rubber elasticity on four peripheral sides of the two substrates for sealing the part between the substrates 1 and 2.
