PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily perform the attaching and detaching work of a counterweight without removing an engine cover. SOLUTION: Level raising brackets 16 and 16 are arranged in a position being the lower side of hinges 15 around an opening 8C in an upper cover 8B of a building cover 8. The hinges 15 and 15 for supporting the engine cover 12 so as to be openable and closable are installed between a left side plate 12B of the engine cover 12 and the respective level raising brackets 16. When opening the engine cover 12, a clearance corresponding to the level raising height (a dimension H) of the level raising brackets 16 can thereby be formed between the upper surface 7A of the counterweight 7 and the rear side (the rear of a left side plate 12B, and a rear plate part 12E) of the engine cover 12, and attaching and detaching work of the counterweight 7 is performed by using this clearance.
