PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data reception processing apparatus which converts service information such as character information received from an FM character multiplex broadcasting into a data format applicable to a database, and automatically stores the converted data by sorting the data for each keyword set beforehand. SOLUTION: A radio-receiving unit 13 sequentially receives block data sequentially transmitted with a predetermined data format, and whenever block data is received, the block data is sequentially stored in a reception ring buffer 17. In this case, during other data processings, data reception is executed as a background processing for the data processing, and specified block data among the block data temporarily stored in the reception ring buffer 17 are stored in a prescribed database.
