PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To freely adjust the tension of a belt. SOLUTION: In the electric power steering device, a casing C, a rack shaft 1 supported so as to move in an axial direction, a screw mechanism S moving the rack shaft 1 in the axial direction, and a driven pulley 17 connected to the screw mechanism S are provided in a casing C. An electric motor m is fixed to the casing C, and a driving pulley 32 provided on a rotating shaft 26 of the electric motor m is installed in the casing. A belt 33 is wrapped around between the driving pulley 32 and the driven pulley 17. An attaching member 23 for attaching the electric motor m to the casing C is fixed on the electric motor m, and on the oher hand, a relative position between the attaching member 23 and the casing C is made to be adjustable, thereby adjusting a distance between a rotation center of the driving pulley and a rotation center of the driven pulley.
