<p>The invention provides a vascular stent supplying device used for placing a vascular stent in a blood vessel, the device comprising a protective sheath (1) to be inserted in a vas of a human body, a catheter (2) inserted in the protective sheath (1) so that it is movable forward and backward, a balloon (4) disposed on the outer peripheral surface of the front end of the catheter (2) projecting through the front end of the protective sheath (1) and adapted to be inflated by a fluid supplied to the catheter (2), and a vascular stent (5) made of biodegradable polymer. The vascular stent (5) is mounted in its diametrically contracted state on the balloon (4) and is moved together with the balloon (4) forward and backward relative to the protective sheath (1), and held at at least one end thereof by a holding member (23).</p> |
