<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To print an advertisement image on recording paper without reducing the visibility of an original image intensively printed on the recording paper. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus is provided with an intensive image generating unit 24 for reducing each of original images so that a plurality of the original images acquired by an original image acquiring unit 11 may be come within a sheet of recording paper in accordance with the type of intensive printing selected by a user via an operating unit 13, and generating an intensive image; a print control unit 25 for extracting a margin region for segmenting an original image from the intensive image, synthesizing the intensive image with the advertisement image so that the advertisement image may be displayed on the longitudinal direction of the margin region, and generating an output image; and a printing unit 15 for printing the output image on the recording paper. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
