PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grinder, decreasing a damage layer of a work and having excellent production efficiency. SOLUTION: This work support 3 is shaped like a disk rotatably supporting a plurality of works W. A work support feeding means 4 of the grinder 1 includes: a motor 11; a belt 12 connecting the motor 11 to the work support 3 to transmit the driving force of the motor 11 to the work support 3; a tension detecting means 13 for detecting the tension of the belt 12; and a motor control means for controlling the driving force of the motor 11 according to the tension value obtained from the tension detecting means 13.
