PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide fishery material containing large quantity of graphite silica so as to directly come in contact with water to greatly improve growth of fish or laver, having a fibrous state, a rope state, a net state or the like, excellent in extension resistance as fishery material, and also causing no breakage and having good workability even when processed. SOLUTION: The fishery material is formed of at least one strand: wherein the graphite silica is contained in at least one strand so as to directly come in contact with water.
