<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a closed loop feedback control system for an electric switching device for minimizing arc and transient phenomena when switching. <P>SOLUTION: The closed loop feedback control system for an electric switching device comprises a microprocessor 49, current producing means connected to the microprocessor and for providing driving current adjusting an actuator 8 which moves at least one of two switching device contacts 71 and 72, and position feedback means 14 connected to the at least one contact and for providing contact position information to the microprocessor 49. The microprocessor includes means for controlling the current producing means in real time at the time of switching operation as the function of an initial contact position and a current contact position provided by the position feedback means 14, wherein the at least one contact moves to a final contact position from the initial contact position in accordance with a movement profile defined in advance, and ac waveform synchronization switching is provided. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
