<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an internal combustion engine having a pressure accumulating fuel injector, capable of setting an idle speed low, while restraining vibration of the internal combustion engine. <P>SOLUTION: A fuel force feed high pressure pump 8 in an engine having a common rail type fuel injector, is equipped with two actuators 88 and 89. Among the two actuators 88 and 89, one is stopped. and fuel force feed operation is performed from only the other actuator 89. to thereby realize idle operation in a low engine speed by restraining a variation in the total load torque formed by superposing both torques, by matching the timing when load torque acting on a crankshaft of an engine becomes maximum, with the timing when the load torque acting on a driving shaft of the high pressure pump 8 becomes minimum. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
