PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor laser device which can be mounted with higher accuracy to obtain a stable characteristic. SOLUTION: On a heatsink 21, a lower sub-mount 30, a bar type semiconductor laser element 10 mounting in parallel a plurality of laser diode chips, and an upper sub-mount 40 are sequentially laminated with each end surface aligned with one end surface of the heatsink 21. The lower sub-mount 30 and the upper sub-mount 40 have thermal expansion coefficients lower than that of the semiconductor laser element 10. Even when the thermal expansion coefficients of upper and lower surfaces of the semiconductor laser element 10 are balanced and the thermal expansion coefficients of the lower sub-mount 30 and the upper sub-mount 40 are low, mounting accuracy can be enhanced by controlling the generation of warp or the like and a stable characteristic can be obtained in the semiconductor laser element 10 of a red color having an oscillation wavelength particularly in a wavelength region of 630μm or more and 690μm or less.
