PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grid of a vertically expanded type manufactured without reducing productivity and without increasing cost, of which the output characteristics are improved while reducing electric resistance, and its manufacturing method, and a lead acid storage battery using this. SOLUTION: The sheet obtained by rolling lead alloy is expansion processed in a state before age-hardening has not progressed. The tensile strength at that time is made 6 kgf/mm<SP>2</SP>or less.
