STORAGE TYPE ELECTRIC WATER HEATER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase hot-water storage capacity and to realize both functions of reheating and total heating of a hot-water cylinder with one heater, in a storage type electric water heater.

SOLUTION: This storage type electric water heater is provided with: the hot-water cylinder 1 supplied with water from its lower part and draining water from its upper part; a heater 4 installed in an inner upper part of the hot-water cylinder 1; and a circulation pump 5 installed in a water circuit for connecting a position of the hot-water cylinder 1 above the heater 4 to a position in the vicinity of the lowest part of the hot-water cylinder 1. The water heater can heat the water of the total inside capacity of the hot-water cylinder 1 by circulating the water in the inner upper part of the hot-water cylinder 1 to the lower part in the hot-water cylinder through the water circuit and can realize both the functions of reheating and total heating of the hot-water cylinder with the single heater 4.
