VOICE RETRIEVAL SYSTEM, METHOD, AND PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a voice retrieval system for facilitating countermeasures even when a character string to be retrieved is erroneously recognized or unknown words, and for quickly retrieving the character string. SOLUTION: A continuous word recognizing means 12 reads and recognizes voice data to be retrieved from a voice data storing means 11, and stores the recognition result of word units in a recognition result word string storing means 13. A word candidate storing means 18 stores the candidates of words which can appear in the recognition result. The words stored in the word candidate storing means 18 are made identical to the recognition vocabulary of the continuous word recognizing means 12. The retrieval character string inputted by a retrieval character string input means 14 is developed into words or word string acoustically close to the retrieval character string by using the words stored in the word candidate storing means 18 by a retrieval character string developing means 15. A retrieving means 16 retrieves the developed words or word string from the recognition result word string storing means 13, and outputs the result to a retrieval result output means 17.
