PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a step structure which facilitates exchange of the step and a sleeve in an escalator of which a shaft for mounting a step is not rotated. SOLUTION: In the step structure provided with the step to be rotatable through the sleeve at a predetermined position of the shaft for mounting the step fixed to a step chain, the sleeve has a slit, a projection portion is formed in an outer circumference of part of the sleeve, a clamp is provided at a surface contacting the projection portion, a second clamp is provided at an opposite surface of the projection portion in the sleeve, a hole is provided in both end parts of the shaft for mounting the step, and a hole is provided in a pin fixed to the step chain.
