<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical information reader excluding influence of blurring in time of reading with a simpler configuration. <P>SOLUTION: A control circuit constituting an information code reader performs a decoding process when a movement amount of a CCD area sensor detected by an angular velocity sensor is within a prescribed range in a period during which imaging is made by the CCD area sensor.
