PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the processability and also a dielectric constant and a dielectric loss of a quartz glass fiber consisting of a quartz glass filament and a quartz glass cloth woven with the fiber, to provide the quartz glass fiber and cloth suitably used for a multilayer printed wiring board, especially for a high frequency circuit of over 1 GHz and to provide a manufacturing method and a manufacturing device of the quartz glass fiber. SOLUTION: The quartz glass fiber is composed of a hollow quartz glass filament having an outer diameter/inner diameter ratio of not less than 1.2 and not more than 10.
