PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner which is good to use by smooth managing action and where moving operation of a vacuum cleaner main body in not-cleaning operation is carried out easily by floating and supporting the vacuum cleaner without influencing dust absorbing performance during cleaning operation. SOLUTION: The constitution of floating and supporting a vacuum cleaner body 1 mounting an air-suction fan 10 for dust suction on a cleaning surface A by blowing of exhaust from the fan 10 is provided with: a bottom plate 2 which is connected with the lower surface of a vacuum cleaner body 1 in a vertically movable manner and which has exhaust holes 22, 22, ... for blowing out of exhaust formed at a surface opposing a cleaning surface A; an extensible air duct 5 interposed between the bottom plate 2 and the body 1 for guiding the exhaust from the fan 10 to the bottom plate 2; a dust suction nozzle 3 supported by a part of the bottom plate 2 and connected by the suction side of the fan 10; and wheels 6, 6, ... formed projecting on the lower surface of the body 1 and supporting the body 1 on the cleaning surface A when moving the bottom plate 2 upward.
