A foreign matter remover of a compressor capable of removing foreign matters such as metal pieces mixed in a refrigerant regardless of the size of captured foreign matters and preventing clogging. The foreign matter remover is formed at the intake passage port of the compressor and comprises a tubular space (47) having an inflow hole (51) for flowing the refrigerant therein. The inflow hole (51) is connected to the space (47) in a tangential direction to cause a swirl flow in the refrigerant flowing therein in the space (47). Then, a capture member (52) capturing separated foreign matters is disposed at the bottom part of the space (47), anda projected outflow hole (57) is formed at the bottom center of the space (47).
