A microdistance mode and ordinary mode switching device for the photography module includes a fixing portion and a controlling portion. The lens (42) is fixed into the release ring (20) by a lens barrel (40), and more than one magnet (21) is provided on the out side wall of the release ring (20). The magnet (54) on the controlling ring (50) is provided on the position corresponding to the magnet (21) on the release ring (20), the polarity direction of the provided magnet (54) corresponds to that of the magnet (21) on the release ring. The present invention utilizes the magnetic force to move the release ring (20) with respect to the holder (10).
