IMAGE DISPLAY DEVICE, DRIVING METHOD THEREOF, AND SCANNING LINE DRIVING CIRCUIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress unevenness of reliability in a screen of an image display device by a circuit means.

SOLUTION: A pixel array part 12 has scanning lines DSL like rows, data lines DTL like columns, and pixels 11 like a matrix arranged in parts where both of them cross each other. A data line driving circuit 14 distributes a data signal supplied from a system circuit 16 to each data line DTL. A scanning line driving circuit 13 successively outputs a driving pulse DS to respective scanning lines DSL to select the pixels 11 in line sequence, whereby the pixels 11 are driven only for the time width of the driving pulse DS on the basis of the distributed data signal to display an image on the pixel array part 12. The scanning line driving circuit 13 can variably control the time width of the driving pulse DS successively outputted to respective scanning lines DSL independently per scanning line DSL and thus controls the driving time of each pixel 11 per scanning line.
