<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure that any cable connection errors are detected in a system that achieves both or either of load distribution and function distribution, without complicating an arrangement related to a host device and a slave device linked together via a communication link, or causing degradation of responsiveness and performance. <P>SOLUTION: The host device that is linked to the slave device via first wiring and second wiring laid between the devices comprises a sending means for delivering the first information that is allocated to the first wiring to the slave device via the first wiring, and a determining means for determining whether both or either of the first and second wiring is right or wrong on the basis of a response that is created by the slave device according to the first information and second information delivered from a device different from the host device and that is delivered via the second wiring. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
