<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a dielectric ceramic composition used as a dielectric layer of a laminated ceramic capacitor, formed from fine particles and having excellent electric characteristics or temperature characteristics even when the capacitor is formed into a thin layer. <P>SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the dielectric ceramic composition having barium titanate, a glass component consisting essentially of SiO<SB>2</SB>and CaO and an additive component has a step for preparing a powdery mixture by mixing raw materials for barium titanate with raw materials for the glass component excluding the additive component so that the ratio of the glass component per 100 mol raw material of barium titanate expressed in terms of BaTiO<SB>3</SB>is 0-2 mol expressed in terms of Ca (where, excluding 0 mol and 2 mol), a step for obtaining calcined powder by calcining the prepared powder mixture at <950°C for >2 hr and a step for obtaining the dielectric raw material of the final composition by mixing the resultant calcined powder with the additive component. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
