<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology capable of dealing with image data in appropriate configuration, corresponding to continuity of colors in an image. <P>SOLUTION: Image data respectively include block image data, including a header part and a data part for each block, contained in at least one pixel having a significant pixel value in one or more blocks resulting from partitioning one or more lines contained in a color image for the unit of a line. The header part includes mode information, indicating that the data part has been configured according to one data configuration mode selected from a plurality of predetermined data configuration modes. The data part contains pixel data representing, for each pixel, color information for pixels included in one block, when the mode information indicates one of non-compression modes of at least one type, or the data part includes compressed pixel data representing color information for pixels included in one block in a data compressed form, when the mode information indicates one of the compression modes of at least one type. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
