PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charger for a portable terminal unit and a cradle device for a portable terminal unit which can be also utilized as an accurate clock, by constantly and automatically correcting time, without complicating the circuit configuration, and a portable terminal system. SOLUTION: The charger and the cradle device are provided with a clocking part 76 for clocking the current time, a display unit 31 for displaying the current time obtained by the clocking part 76, a placement detector 37 for detecting the mounting of a portable telephone (1), and a control unit 71 which corrects the clocking contents of the clocking part 76, by acquiring current time information from the portable telephone (1) when the mounting of the portable telephone (1) is detected with the placement detector 37.
