PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clinker prevention device and a clinker prevention method for preventing adhesion of clinker sufficiently and securely with high efficiency. SOLUTION: A nozzle installation port 23 is provided on a wall 20 of an incinerator 3, and a nozzle mounting seat 24 is provided at a peripheral fringe of the nozzle installation port 23. A protection pipe 30 is inserted into inner faces of the nozzle installation port 23 and the nozzle mounting seat 24. An air pipe 34 is connected with a peripheral face of the protection pipe 30. A nozzle 8 is inserted into the inside of the protection pipe 30. Dispersion liquid of water or clinker prevention agent is sprayed on a side wall of an incinerator main body 4 and a side wall of a secondary combustion chamber 6 from the nozzle 8 when operating the incinerator 3.
