PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition for covering a carcass fiber cord, suppressing release from fiber cord and further having excellent fracture property and the carcass fiber cord covered by the rubber composition. SOLUTION: The rubber composition for covering the carcass fiber cord comprises 100 pts. wt. rubber component and (A) 2-2.9 pts. wt. sulfur, (B) 0.5-3 pts. wt. one or more kinds of compounds selected from a group consisting of a cresol resin, resorcinal condensates and modified resorcinal condensates and (C) 0.5-3 pts. wt. partial condensates of hexamethylolmelamine pentamethyl ether or partial condensates of hexamethoxymethylolmelamine.
