PHTHALOCYANINE COMPOUND, INK, INKJET RECORDING METHOD, AND METHOD OF IMAGE FORMATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide (1) a new ink having absorption characteristics excellent in color reproduction and sufficient fastness to light, heat, humidity and active gases in environment, and to provide (2) various inks having the characteristics as described above in (1) and used for printing ink for inkjet printing or the like.

SOLUTION: The new ink contains a compound represented by formula (I) [wherein X1to X4and Y1to Y4are each a C atom or an N atom, respectively; A1to A4are each an atom group necessary for forming an aromatic ring or a heterocyclic ring together with X1to X4and Y1to Y4, respectively (wherein all of the four rings composed of respective A, X and Y are not aromatic rings at the same time, and when all of these four rings are pyridine rings at the same time, the ring(s) where either one of the atoms adjoining respective X and Y in the rings is a nitrogen atom are excepted, and when all of these four rings are pyrazine rings at the same time, the ring(s) where both of the atoms adjoining respective X and Y in the rings are nitrogen atoms are excepted); at least one of A1to A4or at least one of the substituents on A1to A4has a substituent having two or more carbon atoms and the sum of the carbon atoms on the substituents on A1to A4is 8 or more, no ionic hydrophilic group being included in the molecule; and M is a hydrogen atom, a metal element, a metal oxide, a metal hydroxide or a metal halide].
