PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a "television broadcast receiver" which reduces feelings of eyesore or irritation through an image distortion sequence in a television broadcast receiver which does not include a video decoder IC or a graphic LSI in the case of weak electric field. SOLUTION: A video decoder IC 13 of a television broadcast receiver converts an analog TV signal into a digital TV video signal and a graphic LSI 14 appropriately superimposes a generated digital graphic video image and a digital TV video image and displays them on a display section 16. In such a television broadcast receiver, if an electric field becomes weak and a receiving state is deteriorated, a selector 15 switches and inputs an analog TV signal to the display section.
