PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display program, an image display method, an image display device, and a recording medium allowing easily confirming the effect of image processing and enhancing a user-interface function about the image processing. SOLUTION: An image processing method includes: an image selection step for selecting an original image to be processed; an image display step for displaying the selected original image on a display; an area designation step for designating at least one area within the displayed image; a ranking step for ranking, if there are a plurality of areas designated, the areas as to the order of laying them over the original image; an image processing designation step for designating image processing to be performed on each area; an image processing step for performing the designated image processing on the image data of the original image; an area display step for displaying the result of the image processing; and a partial area display step for subjecting partial areas over the plurality of designated areas to the image processing in the order determined by the ranking step and for displaying images of the processing result.
