PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a can lid which allows an easy pulling of a can-opening tab when opening a can. SOLUTION: A chuck wall (4) is so formed as to be tilted in the range of 30°to 70°with respect to the reference surface (8) of a central panel section (6). A finger-catching recess (29) is formed between the straight edge portion (27) of the can-opening tab (21) and an annular groove (5) and on the outside of the straight edge portion (27), and is formed longer than the straight edge portion (27) so that it extends outward from a position corresponding to both side edge portions (30, 30) of the can-opening tab (21). This allows the finger tip or finger cushion to be easily guided to the finger-catching recess (29) and securing a sufficient space for sliding the finger tip or finger cushion under the can-opening tab (21) from a desired direction, when opening a can.
