PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air cleaner capable of responding to a method for processing excessively generated water. SOLUTION: A high voltage is applied between a discharging electrode 1 and a counter electrode 2, discharge is done between both electrodes, a water generating means 4 generating the water without supplying water is disposed in the discharging electrode 1 and/or the counter electrode 2, radicals, ions and others or fine water particles containing them are generated and discharged by utilizing the water and the discharge between the electrodes, and the discharged zone is sterilized, deodorized, and the harmful substances are eliminated from the zone, and a water storing portion 6 is arranged for preventing the excessively generated water from flowing out.
