<p>There is provided a method for objectively analyzing the feature of sound quality of exhaust sound by performing sound quality evaluation of exhaust sound adaptive to the hearing sense of person. The method for analyzing the sound quality of exhaust sound comprises a measuring step (M1) for sampling exhaust sound to be analyzed by means of a microphone arranged in an exhaust system EX and converting it into an electric signal, an analysis step (M2) for amplifying the high-frequency component of the electric signal and performing frequency analysis at an arbitrary time interval, a detection step (M3) for detecting a first formant, i.e. the first peak from the low frequency side, and a second formant, i.e. the second peak from the low frequency side, and a display step (M4) for displaying the relation (brightness and sharpness) between the first and second formants within a predetermined time range.</p> |
