PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low cost optical fiber holder which is easily removed from a cutting tool of an optical fiber and accurately cuts the optical fiber, and also to provide a tool which is provided with the optical fiber holder and is used to cut the optical fiber and to remove its cover. SOLUTION: The optical fiber holder is freely attachable and detachable to and from the holder mounting section of the tool, which is used to cut the optical fiber or to remove its cover, and holds the position of the optical fiber. The optical fiber holder is provided with a casing section and a holding section which holds an optical fiber formed in the casing section.
