PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device enabling an upper paper guide to be firmly fitted to a lower paper guide. SOLUTION: In this image forming device (thermal transfer printer), the upper paper guide 9 comprises engagement holes 9e and 9f and engagement holes 9c and 9d formed at specified intervals from the engagement holes 9e and 9f in a direction crossingly perpendicular to the carrying direction of a paper 28. Also, hook parts 8b and 8c engaged with the engagement holes 9c and 9d of the upper paper guide 9 and hook parts 8d and 8e engaged with the engagement holes 9e and 9f of the upper paper guide 9 are formed in the lower paper guide 8. The hook parts 8b and 8c of the lower paper guide 8 comprise deformable spring property. In addition, each of the hook parts 8b and 8c and each of the hook parts 8d and 8e are disposed at a specified distance in the carrying direction of the paper 28 and formed so that their heights are gradually reduced in the feeding direction of the paper 28.
