<p>The present invention is directed to an RF unit (2) to be used in a radio communication equipment (1) for wireless communication, the RF unit (2) being adapted to generate an RF output signal, wherein said RF unit (2) comprises at least one adjustable amplifier (4) for amplifying the RF output signal and outputting said RF output signal via a signal line (3) and a power controller (5) for adjusting said adjustable amplifier (4) by an open loop control. According to the present invention the RF unit (2) further comprises a power detector (6) coupled to said signal line (3) outputting a detection signal depending on the power of the RF output signal transmitted via said signal line (3) to said power controller (5), wherein the detection signal is used by said power controller (5) to adjust said adjustable amplifier (3) by a closed loop control if the power of the RF output signal exceeds a predefined threshold value stored in said power controller (5). Furthermore, a corresponding method and computer program product are disclosed.</p> |
