FIELD: nuclear power engineering, possibly sealing by contact-butt welding of rod type fuel elements of nuclear reactors. ^ SUBSTANCE: installation includes welding chamber in which collet chucks for envelope and for plug are arranged. Said collet chucks are joined with respective drive units through power rods. Installation also includes device for sealing welding chamber; welding pressure drive joined with drive of plug collet chuck with possibility of their common motion. Collet chucks of envelope and plug have articulation joint for connecting them with rods of their drives. Diameter of opening of collet chuck of plug exceeds diameter of plug part arranged in said opening at least by value of misalignment of central openings of collet chucks. ^ EFFECT: enhanced quality of welded seams and the whole joint, lowered metal consumption of plugs, simplified process of producing and adjusting installation. ^ 2 dwg |
