An electronic display system e.g. hand-held personal computer or personal digital assistant displays musical notation and has a housing with a flat screen. The unit resides within a frame that is linked by a clamp/clip to a suitable musical instrument. The display is linked to a central server delivering the visual image at a speed synchronised with the musical direction. The unit further incorporates an electronic metronome.
