The present invention provides rolling element spacers (5;5a;5b) used in a rolling guide unit provided with an endless circulating passage for balls (2); arranged with plural balls (2) alternately therewith in the endless circulating passage; and circulated with these balls (2) in the endless circulating passage. Each of the rolling element spacers (5a;5a;5b) has a pair of retaining seats (50;54;55) which the balls (2) contact, and is formed so that, on a ball cutting plane perpendicular to the center of rotation of each ball (2), each retaining seat (50;54;55) and a relative ball (2) contact each other at only the two portions of the retaining seat (50;54;55) that are in the vicinity of both ends thereof.
