There is provided an electronic money use system capable of preventing unauthorized use of electronic money recorded on a recording medium. A memory card (300) acquires signature-type electronic money from a bank server device (100) and generates a first authenticator by using a first password received from a user, an identification flag contained in the electronic money, an electronic money ID, and an amount of money. When using signature-type electronic money, a second authenticator is generated by using a second password received from the user, the identification flag contained in the electronic money, the electronic money ID, and the amount of money. When the first authenticator coincides with the second authenticator, electronic money is outputted.
