PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microcapsule in which an inorganic alkali and a solution of the inorganic alkali dissolved in an aqueous solvent or a polyamine and a solution of the polyamine dissolved in an aqueous solvent can be involved efficiently and from which the involved substance hardly leaks during storage but the wall material of which is broken by heat or pressure to release the involved substance. SOLUTION: This microcapsule is obtained by carrying out: a step (1) of preparing a w/o emulsion by heating an oleophilic material, which becomes a capsule wall and is a solid at normal temperature, to the temperature equal to or higher than the melting point of the oleophilic material, adding the inorganic alkali or the solution of the inorganic alkali dissolved in the aqueous solvent or the polyamine and the solution of the polyamine dissolved in the aqueous solvent, which are to be involved in the microcapsule, to the heated oleophilic material and exerting mechanical power; a step (2) of preparing a w/o/w emulsion by slowly adding the prepared w/o emulsion to water or a water-soluble substance having the same composition as the water-soluble compound to be involved, each of which has the same temperature as the w/o emulsion; and a step (3) of cooling the prepared w/o/w emulsion to the temperature equal to or lower than the melting point of the oleophilic material to solidify the oleophilic material.
