PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety device for bush cutters having extremely high safety and simple structure, capable of being produced at low cost, excellent in cutting efficiency and having high endurance. SOLUTION: In the bush cutter for reaping grass leaves with a reaping blade rotating at high speed, a disk 20 in which the diameter is equivalent to or larger than that of a reaping blade 10 is arranged above at a prescribed interval from the reaping blade 10 and the disk 20 is rotated coaxially with the reaping blade 10.
